1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup feta cheese
1/2 red onion, divided (1/2 finely diced, 1/2 thinly sliced)
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained and finely chopped
Dill Yogurt Sauce:
7 oz plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
Salt and pepper to taste
Burger Fixings:
Bibb/Boston Lettuce
Red pepper, thinly sliced and sauteed
Dill sauce
Feta crumbles
Thinly sliced red onion
Directions:
Dill sauce: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use. Save extra to eat with other meats, seafood, veggies, or salad.
Patties: In a medium bowl mix ground turkey, feta crumbles, diced red onion, and finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes.
Divide the turkey mixture evenly and form into patties. (4 patties = approx. 4 oz each, 8 patties = approx. 2 oz each).
Heat grill to medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 7 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165F. (Note: The smaller the patties, the less cooking time required.)
Assemble lettuce-wrapped burgers- lay lettuce on a plate and add turkey patty, dill sauce, feta crumbles, thinly sliced red onion, sauteed red pepper- wrap up or dig in with a fork and knife!
